I was having a quick lunch with a friend as I volunteer next-door at Loving Hands thrift. I had no idea the place was so spacious and can accommodate both small and large groups. Next time I definitely want to try a dish that represents Hungary. I will definitely be back.

One of my good Hungarian friend told me about this restaurant a few days ago he visited and had such great experience. I took my wife and father in law to have dinner tonight. It was such an amazing experience the food is GREAT! The server was kind and very interactive. If you want to have a great Hungarian dish you MUST come visit this place! Thank you guys for being there!

I had the meatloaf dinner tonight, and man was it good. Only one problem, the plate of food was very large. I ate, and ate, and ate and I still had a doggie bag to go. But was it ever good. The meatloaf was flavorful, the mashed potato delicious, and the mushroom gravy out of this world. Try it, you won't be sorry.

What an absolute gem! Vernona Gourmet Hungarian Restaurant delivered one of the best dinners I've had in years. From the moment I walked in, the service was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, the kind that makes you feel like you're being taken care of, not just served. The chicken paprikás was extraordinary. Rich, soulful, deeply comforting, and perfectly balanced , the kind of dish that reminds you why certain recipes stand the test of time. Every bite felt intentional and rooted in tradition. Having worked with and alongside some of the best restaurants and chefs in the world, I honestly wasn't expecting to stumble upon a meal like this in Sarasota. But Vernona surprised me in the best possible way. This is food made with heart, pride, and respect for craft. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll be telling everyone I know to go.

It was absolutely incredible. 10/10 would recommend to anyone trying the restaurant for the first time. I also had a cup of the goulash, which was hearty and flavorful. The cuts of meat in both dishes were cooked perfectly and very tender.
